On the first Friday of the month, Lakewood Ranch Main Street turns into a free outdoor concert and block party with live music, food, drinks, activities and families filling the street.

It's one of the signature community events in Lakewood Ranch — and October has a great lineup.

Who's Playing in October?

The Blind Squirrel Band will bring rock, blues and funk to Main Street.

Even better, Music on Main isn't only about having a good time.

Proceeds from the October event benefit the Humane Society of Sarasota County.

Each Music on Main supports a different local nonprofit, which is one of the reasons this event has become such a strong Lakewood Ranch tradition.

What to Expect

Main Street fills with food vendors, beer trucks and sponsor booths while kids can enjoy inflatables and activities.

Bring your own chair if you'd like.

Leave the cooler at home — outside food and beverages aren't permitted.

Dogs are welcome but should remain on a short leash.

Also important for families: visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult after 6 PM under the Main Street Parent on Site Policy.
